9/13/26 – Build My Church

I returned to Jacksonville last Tuesday night. it was a long day but finally I arrived in Jacksonville. I truly had a wonderful time with my family ,especially with my parents. Saying goodbye to them was not easy, particularly saying goodbye to my dad.

As we said goodbye he asked me why I had gone so far away to pursue my dream. I told him that every child has a different path and destiny in life and I simply chose to follow mine. I hope you liked the videos on Facebook of my trip to Colombia.

Our pastoral activities are starting up again, especially the preparations for our Patronal Feast which will take place on Sunday October 4, following the 9:45 a.m. Eucharistic celebration. Please mark your calendars and join us for this special occasion.

As we celebrate the Year of St. Francis of Assisi, remember that you have the opportunity to receive a plenary indulgence. There will also be a special blessing or everyone present that weekend before the conclusion of mass

Our bishop will not be able to join us this year, but he has promised me, and it is already on his calendar, that he will be with us in 2027.

Personally, I will be preparing some desserts to share with all of you, using some of the recipes I brought back from Colombia.

It is truly a joy to be back home with all of you. We are coordinating several activities for everyone throughout the month of October, and we will be sharing more details with you very soon.

I look forward to seeing you all again and celebrating together!
